IF YOU READ ONE POST TODAY, START READING THIS ONE FOR THE LINK TO THE ONE YOU SHOULD REALLY BE READING
I write stuff. A lot. I write a lot of stuff. Constantly. Blog posts. Tweets. Emails. Slack updates. And while I like to think I do a decent job of highlighting projects, rarely is my writing revelatory. Or brave. So when someone writes something that is difficult and revelatory? I notice.

TAKE A BREAK FROM RUNNING AROUND CRAZILY TO RUN IN AN ORGANIZED FASHION
If there’s one thing startups are good at, it’s running around with their hair on fire, figuratively. Now Portland startups have a chance to run around literally—and its for a good cause. On October 21, 2015, hundreds of your peers will be taking to the streets for the 4K 4Charity Fun Run PDX. an effort to raise money and awareness for Rosemary Anderson High School.

OREGON STORY BOARD DEMO DAY IS OCTOBER 22
In the world of startups and accelerators and pitch competitions and whatnot, there are any number of opportunities to see folks ask you for money. Or tell you about their products. But what about hearing stories from folks who are storytellers by profession? What about hearing about why they built their company? That’s a different sort of demo day. And that’s what the Oregon Story Board accelerator is all about.

FUN FACT: Given that it’s issue 300, I thought I’d let you know that the very first issue of Silicon Florist curated content was released on Friday, November 6, 2009. And has published on practically every Friday since. Thanks to Jason Glaspey who helped encourage me to get this going. With the immortal words, “I’m too lazy to read your blog on a regular basis. Can’t you just email me the important stuff?â€
